When NBA China asked us to bring the stories of their biggest stars to life, we didn’t just create an animated series—we gave the legends of the game a whole new stage to shine on.

Each episode featured an NBA star, diving deep into their journey as players and people. My role as design director was to create a visual world that matched the energy and personality of each athlete. I crafted the art direction, built the storyboards, and worked closely with the team to cut the voiceovers into narratives that brought their stories to life. With a team of talented animators, we transformed raw stories into playful, colorful animations that captured the essence of each player.

In total, we created 9 episodes, each featuring a different NBA legend. To give each story its own distinct feel, we brought in a new animator for every episode, ensuring that the animation reflected the player’s unique vibe. It wasn’t just about basketball—it was about the human behind the jersey, told in a way that only animation could capture.
