ABU DHABI TOURISM

Overview:

Experience Abu Dhabi wanted to inspire Chinese travelers by turning the destination’s landscapes, culture and sense of adventure into something people could physically feel, not just see.

As Creative and Design Lead, I shaped the immersive concept and creative direction for a large-scale pavilion built around a 4D dome and synchronized motion-chair experience. We captured Abu Dhabi on location using 360° cameras, then worked across Shanghai and Amsterdam to transform that footage into a visceral journey through the destination from the perspective of a falcon.

The result was a full-sensory travel experience combining architecture, film, motion and storytelling to create a more emotional entry point into the destination. More than 3,200 visitors took part, with 150 guests receiving travel incentives to continue the experience in Abu Dhabi itself.

Transporting you there

We made this feel like a Disney ride. This was our goal from the beginning. We wanted viewers to feel completely immersed, taking a magic filled journey as a falcon above the clouds.

I wanted people to feel the knot in the stomach when you jump over a cliff-face and reveal and beautiful mountainous landscape. To really appreciate the beauty of Abu Dhabi I had to associate that with an emotional, memorable feeling.

Book your virtual ticket.

We wanted people to feel like they were booking an actual trip to AbuDhabi. So we developed a Wechat mini program that allowed users to book customized tickets and select convenient times to experience the film.
