Abu Dhabi Tourism - Soaring Above

360 film; 4D experience; Offline activation

Experience Abu Dhabi through heart pounding exploration.

Experience Abu Dhabi through heart-pounding exploration. This wasn’t just a campaign—it was a journey to the soul of the UAE, crafted to captivate the China market and spark a sense of wanderlust.

As Creative and Design Lead, my mission was clear: bring Abu Dhabi’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and adventurous spirit to life in a way that didn’t just show it off but made people feel it. The result? A fully immersive 4D dome and motion chair experience housed within a stunning, Abu Dhabi-inspired pavilion (an architectural feat at 10m x 10m x 7m tall!).

We shot on location in Abu Dhabi with 360-degree cameras, capturing every golden dune, shimmering sea, and sunlit skyline. Back in Shanghai and Amsterdam, my team and I turned that footage into a pulse-racing 180° viewing experience that let visitors soar over the landscape like a falcon—Abu Dhabi’s national bird and an enduring symbol of freedom and exploration.

Inside the pavilion, visitors weren’t just watching; they were flying. The synchronized motion chairs and vivid 4D visuals made every dive, swoop, and turn feel heart-pounding and real. This wasn’t just a trip to Abu Dhabi—it was a full-sensory adventure designed to leave people breathless, inspired, and booking their next flight to experience more.

The experience racked up over 3,200 visitors, with 150 early birds winning ticket discounts for an actual visit to Abu Dhabi.

Transporting you there

We made this feel like a Disney ride. This was our goal from the beginning. We wanted viewers to feel completely immersed, taking a magic filled journey as a falcon above the clouds.

I wanted people to feel the knot in the stomach when you jump over a cliff-face and reveal and beautiful mountainous landscape. To really appreciate the beauty of Abu Dhabi I had to associate that with an emotional, memorable feeling.

Book your virtual ticket.

We wanted people to feel like they were booking an actual trip to AbuDhabi. So we developed a Wechat mini program that allowed users to book customized tickets and select convenient times to experience the film.
